Bondla Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, is situated on the north-east border of Goa at Molem 60 km from Panaji. The sanctuary, with an area of 240 sq. km, is the biggest in Goa. The sanctuary is a birdwatchers’ heaven. Besides, there are numerous floral and faunal varieties attracting you towards it.

Dandeli Situated outside the Goa border in the state of Karnataka, the Dandeli Sanctuary abounds in flora and fauna. Its undulating topography with picturesque river valleys, steep slopes and rich hilly forest terrain making is popular among tourist. The main wildlife species here are elephant, tiger, leopard, mouse deer, gaur, flying squirrel, etc., and a variety of birds.

Temple of Tambdi Surla escaped the destruction of the temples in Goa by the Portuguese because of its remote location. The temple is located 66 km away from Panaji at Sanguem Taluka .
